Sometimes the "Big Time" hire isn't the right one anyway...


I'm more interested in finding a promising up-and-coming coach, even if it's a younger assistant, then surrounding them with a good staff and continuing to add resources. We want to be a program that identifies talent and developments better than anyone in terms of players. The same should apply to coaches.

Easier said then done of course, but my point is don't flip out if it isn't a "Home run hire". No matter who gets the job you won't know if it is the right call or not for a few years.
